The Piedmont Crossroads Wine Trail
Alternating between the sweeter tastes of the NC native muscadine grape and the more classic flavors of European varietals, this wine trail winds around two of the state’s main highways, Interstates 40 and 77. Start atGardenGateVineyards, and enjoy a glass of muscadinewine under the arbor. Then it’s off to Daveste, which has both traditional wine favorites and a few varietals rarely grown in NC. Afterwards, re-set your tastebuds for the Ginger Creek Vineyards, where muscadines and fruit wines take center stage again, and finish at the Cerminaro Vineyard, a family-run winery in the rolling North Carolina foothills.
