Bridal show tips for brides

bridal show tips for brides

Bridal shows can be crowded, overwhelming and confusing. However, if you put a little time into planning ahead, you will get more out of and even enjoy your bridal show experience.  We’ve put together a list of bridal show tips for brides.

BEFORE

  • Remember that you can attend as many bridal shows as you wish.  Also, there are many different companies that organize bridal shows, so make sure to attend various
  • Set your priorities. You cannot possibly concentrate on the caterers and florists, and bridal boutiques, and DJs at the same time.  Make a list of the products and services you need the most and address them.
  • If there is a particular vendor that you would like to meet, call them ahead to ask which upcoming shows they will be participating in.
  • Eat something before you come and bring a water bottle, you wouldn’t want to get too hungry.  Majority of the bridal shows offer food and drinks, but do not rely on eating there.  You might be too busy talking to vendors or the food might not be to your dietary requirements.
  • Safe time by pre-registering online. Pre-registering may also get you a free or discounted admission ticket.

DURING

  • Wear comfortable shoes – you will be doing a lot of walking.
  • Bring your support team (your best friend or your mom), someone you trust for a different perspective.  Don’t bring children as they become easily bored. Your fiancé would not enjoy it half as much so force him to come is he does not want to.
  • Bring a large canvas bag and ask your friend or mom to collect and carry all the promotional materials and other goodies the exhibitors have for you.  Take everything, you can review and evaluate at home.
  • Bring your checkbook just in case you decide to book services and take advantage of the show special.
  • Ask lots of questions, that’s why the vendors are there!  They want to help you and you are under no pressure to buy from them.  Find if the company is a good fit for you.
  • Allocate 2-4 hours of your time, so that you may visit with as many wedding exhibitors as you wish.
  • Ask your mom/friend to take notes on the actual brochures handed out & the show program- this will make it easier to remember when you get home.
  • Keep an open mind and ask for recommendations, you never know when a vendor might have a good suggestion.

The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself.
